Data Deletion Instructions – Mera Nivas
Overview
At Mera Nivas, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated data from the Mera Nivas platform.
How to Request Account Deletion
You can request the deletion of your Mera Nivas account through any of the following methods:
Option 1 – In-App Request
1. Open the Mera Nivas app and log in to your account.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
3. Tap Delete My Account and confirm your request.
Option 2 – Email Request
Send a deletion request to our support team at support@meranivas.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include:
- Your registered email address or phone number
- The society name associated with your account (if applicable)
We will process your request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation once the deletion is complete.
What Data Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Profile Information – Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
- Address & Unit Details – Flat/unit number, society, and residence information
- Payment Records – Maintenance fee history and transaction details linked to your account
- Notifications & Messages – All society notices, announcements, and in-app messages
- Visitor Logs – Visitor entries and gate pass records associated with your account
- Vehicle Information – Registered vehicle details
- App Preferences & Settings – All personalized settings and notification preferences
> Note: Certain records may be retained for a limited period where required by applicable law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax or audit purposes). Such retained data will be isolated from active use and deleted once the legal retention period expires.
Data Retention After Deletion
- Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days of a confirmed deletion request.
- Backups containing your data are purged within 90 days.
- Anonymized or aggregated statistical data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytical purposes.
Third-Party Data
If you have connected Mera Nivas with third-party services (e.g., payment gateways), please contact those services directly to request deletion of any data they hold independently.
